Miranda Palmer English 103 Thurs. January 23, 1998 Dialogue: Thorton : You know Joe Bob Billy, I was out with this girl last night. She seemed very nice, but I think I want to get to know her better before I make any judgments about this woman. I think I am going to take her to my mothers and get a second opinion about her, that way I will have a better understanding of the situation, and see if someone else shares the same views as I do about her. Joe Bob Billy: Hey I met that girl, she was great, and easy to… Man she could tear it up in bed. No kidding, I think she likes me. Thorton : How long did you meet her for? I thought she was a very nice young woman. I am willing to discuss this with you though, and find it very interesting that you came up with such a different conclusion after meeting her. Let us discuss this further. Joe Bob Billy: Man, how could you think that girl was sweet, I only met her for five minutes and I knew she was a hot one. Your wrong and you know it, I don’t want to talk about this anymore. Thorton : Now, lets slow down, you only met her for five minutes. Help me to understand this. Was she dressed a certain way? What did you talk about? Take your time, try to remember clearly. Joe Bob Billy: No, no… this is a stupid conversation. There wasn’t one thing about her, I don’t know what it was. She is just that way, I don’t know exactly why, why should it matter? Thorton : Well I met her through a friend at church. She teaches Sunday School every week, she dressed very discreetly, and she introduced me to her wonderful church going family, and when the date was over she shook my hand. All of these things give me evidence to support that she is not easy. I do not know her well enough to make a judgment at this point in time, give me more evidence so I can more thoroughly think this through. Joe Bob Billy: I am telling you I met her, and I just knew she was that kind of girl. I think you are crazy to think this girl is sweet, she is a tramp. You won’t convince me otherwise, I bet she has slept with the entire football team. Thorton : Now, I can’t really agree with you on this. But, if you think this, lets talk this out and see where these ideas come from. Joe Bob Billy: Man, I am telling you I heard this story about this girl one time, and some fruit… I bet it was the same girl, they are both brunettes right? You are one big crackhead man, and if you think I am going to listen to this bullshit about this girl being all innocent you are sadly mistaken. Thorton : Nobody is perfect, and maybe she isn’t perfect and never done anything wrong. However, I do find it hard to believe that she is as bad as you are making her out to be. She is just a normal human being. Joe Bob Billy: Look, people are crazy, and you know you have met girls like that, ready and waiting. What about that one girl 6 years ago, at that bar in the city? What about her huh? Was she sweet and just “human”? Thorton : I am getting a little upset at you comparing this girl that I have feeling for, to the prostitute you hired at that bar in the city. I think that this conversation can be continued at a later date, when I can more clearly think out the situation. Joe Bob Billy: Hell no man, you don’t want to see her for what she is, you don’t want to trust you friend? Than why don’t you find someone else to moan and groan to about your pathetic love life! The End… ( think I could have been a little more corny and obvious )
