One Day Training Joining Information

Congratulations and well done. You have made a good decision to
become part of the EVC project and sign up for the training.

We have designed the course for you to expand your knowledge of
Disability Equality issues and develop your understanding of the
issues that affect Disabled People in society in 2010. Becoming part
of the EVC programme will help you get your views, priorities and
concerns acknowledged and listened to. In other words you will
become more empowered and confident to make your own

The course will be delivered in a fully inclusive way from an
accessible venue. We will encourage everyone to share their
experiences and views on the topics we cover with group discussion
and debate being a feature of the training.

In keeping with the Disabled Persons Independent Living Principles
of choice, control and responsibility, we will assume that if you need
any personal assistance support so that you can fully contribute and
gain from the experience you will make your own arrangements and
pay for this from your Direct Payments (DP). If you do not receive
Direct Payments, chosen not to take up this option or do not know
what a Direct Payment is please get in touch to discuss alternatives.
We want to try and include everyone regardless of any support needs
they may have.

To help us ensure that any other specific access requirements you
may have are catered for please fill in the attached and return or
email the information back.

If you need any further help, please call Lisa Wiggins at the Council
of Disabled People on 024 7671 6217 or email

Thank you.
