The Utility Calculator program contains the following calculators.
Annuity Income Calculator This calculator permits you to enter a range of data and will provide an annual income as a result. In the bottom right hand corner, the LEC relates to life expectancy data. The income calculated is an approximation but is near enough when an actual company quote cannot be obtained.
Income Goal Calculator This calculator is a supplemental superannuation goal calculator and measures the required amounts needed for a certain income level to be calculated for retirement. All the numbers are variable and can be altered immediately to see the resultant shortfall/excess.
Investment Goal Calculator This calculator enables you to find the annual instalment required to achieve a set goal or vice versa, or to determine how long it would take to achieve your goals. The columns are interactive, but you do need to have one blank so that you can obtain the desired result.
Life Expectancy and Age Calculator As the name implies, this calculator calculates the age and life expectancy of males and females. This calculator is ideal for quickly calculating these figures.
Allocated Pension Minimum and Maximum Income Calculator This calculator calculates the minimum and maximum income draw downs permitted by Treasury for Allocated Pensions. Merely type in date of birth and invested amount and maximum and minimum thresholds for drawing down are calculated.
TAP Income Calculator By entering the maturity date and the account balance of the TAP investment, the annual income and term of the investment can be calculated.
Regular Contribution Calculator This calculator determines the end result of a savings program, given the initial investment amount, regular monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annual contributions made over a period of time. It also demonstrates the discounted (present day value) if desired.
Retirement Income Planner This calculator enables a complete picture of the relevant draw down amounts pertaining to an Allocated Pension or a Term Allocated Pension. An Immediate Annuity can be added to the projection as well. Income, income tax and how long the money will last are calculated.
Income Tax Sharing Calculator By entering a fixed income amount to be shared and the individual incomes of the client and their spouse, you are able, by moving the slider, to determine the optimum split of the shared income to produce the best income tax result.
Days Between Dates Calculator This calculator tells you the exact number of days between an entered start and end date.
ETP Calculator This calculator enables a quick calculation of component amounts as well as days between the two cut off dates (prior to 1/7/1983 and post 30/6/1983 to the date of calculation). It also calculates the tax payable on the total ETP if withdrawn from the superannuation environment.
Mortgage Amortisation Calculator This calculator enables the adviser to view the standard method of mortgage cancellation by the payment of as fixed sum over a fixed period. However, it also enables you to compare the same mortgage reduction using a range of variables, e.g. extra lump sums, different payment frequencies, increased added annual contributions, changes in interest rates with a final capacity to show the length of time and the interest saved taken given the client’s pre-arranged methodology of payment. Importantly, it also shows, by a composite graphic, the standard method vis-à-vis the improved method.
Loanback Calculator This calculator has an application peculiar to the Friendly Society gearing methodology and enables the adviser to utilise countless variables to calculate the best and safest method of leveraging a client’s money. All the adviser needs to complete are the client requirements and the system calculates the total 10 year program.
RBL Calculator This is a comprehensive calculator dealing with ALL aspects of RBL’s with every conceivable application required by law. It then measures the client against his/her Lump Sum or Pension position both on the calculation date and at a future retirement date using an indexed AWOTE. It includes HAS and Transitional HAS in its total calculations as well.
Quick RBL Calculator This calculator enables the advisor to encapsulate a client’s RBL position at a glance resulting in an analysis of the present day position as well as the position at a chosen retirement date. It examines the position of the client from both a lump sum and pension perspective as well as determining whether the client is in an excess position while calculating the relevant excess benefit tax. As implied by the name of this calculator, the results are a fairly accurate approximation. For precise results use the standard RBL calculator.
Superannuation Recontribution Strategy Calculator This calculator enables the speedy calculation of the optimum withdrawal amount to re-contribute as an Undeducted Employee Contribution where a client is close to, or in excess of his RBL at retirement. It also calculates the cost of withdrawal simultaneously given a stated marginal tax rate.
