6 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CUTTING EDGE
                     WIRELESS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
This conference, organized by the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT), at
Stony Brook University is the sixth conference in its technical series. The Center is a $250 million
government/industry/academic partnership leading the next wave of the wireless and information technology
revolution. The Center partners include some of the world’s best technology companies and research
institutions. The program includes four parallel tracks; possible paper topics include (but are not limited to):

Track 1 - Emerging Technologies Track 3 - Energy and Smart Grid

- WLAN, WiMAX/4G MIMO/OFDM systems - Smart Grid distributed sensor networks
- Wireless sensor networks (including RFID, ZigBee, etc.) - Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
- Pervasive, context based and wearable computing - Management, simulation and visualization technology
- Mesh and mobile networks - New services enabled by Smart Grid technologies
- M2M networks, applications and services - Energy Efficient Computing
- 3D visual computing and user interfaces - Securing the Smart Grid
- Cyber security

Track 2 - Healthcare and Medical Devices Track 4 – Smart Infrastructure

- Personal medical devices - Ubiquitous cities (U-City)
- Wireless Telemedicine systems - Smart infrastructure sensing (e.g., bridges, tunnels, roads, etc.)
- Decision support systems and medical image processing - Disaster management and monitoring the infrastructure
- Information storage and retrieval - Interaction between vehicles and the environment
- Asset Tracking and monitoring - Broadband access anywhere
- Ambulatory and medical alert systems and devices - Homeland security

This year we welcome and encourage submissions that are inline with this year’s theme - Advanced Technologies and
Solutions Driving Energy, Healthcare and Infrastructure Transformation. Please submit your abstract electronically at
http://naples.cc.sunysb.edu/secct/ceasevents.nsf/cabstract. The abstract will be reviewed by the Conference
Program Committee.

Abstract Submission Deadline: July 15, 2009
