					                                      TRAVEL AGENT PRESENTATION
Using your chosen country, you will be given five minutes to “sell” a trip to your classmates. With information that
you have researched about your country, you will create a PowerPoint presentation to accompany your “sales
pitch”. Please keep the following in mind when preparing your speech:

   • You only have 5 minutes (perfect timing will be within 15 seconds of the 5 minute mark)
   • You must include verifiable information in your presentation; a works cited page must be included in your
       PowerPoint. (3 source minimum)
   • It is very evident that you are able to WRITE a good speech; however, you need to focus on DELIVERING
       a good speech.
   • You will have THREE days of computer time. Use it wisely.
   • Obviously, you are going to have to put a fresh spin on your country; these countries do not have a viable
tourist industry. Use the facts that you find out about your country and make them sound attractive. Use you
imagination, but do not lie to your audience.
   • You must print off copies of your slides to hand in before you deliver your speech. Please print six slides
per page. If you are unaware of how to do this, please ask your teacher or a fellow student when you are
       ready to print.
   • A PowerPoint consisting of just words isn’t too impressive; try to incorporate positive images of your
       country into your presentation.
   • This is your final project for this class; your exam will be paper and pencil. Take this very seriously; it is
       worth 250 points.
   • This speech is a mix between an informative and persuasive speech; review techniques for delivering both.
   • Think of yourself as a salesman; it is alright to be cheesy and pushy, just remember not to turn off your
       audience.
   • And…..you will be required to DRESS FORMALLY for this presentation. Stop whining, this is the one
and only speech this is required for….
