Strategic Aim           To reduce violence and abuse to all members of the communities in Erewash and Amber
                        Valley

Objective

AMBER VALLEY            Amber Valley: Engage in effective partnership working in order to provide a co-ordinated
                        approach to tackling domestic violence

EREWASH                 Work with East Derbyshire Domestic Violence Forum to promote the joint domestic
                        abuse protocol and deliver effective services for survivors and perpetrators of domestic
                        abuse.

                        To increase reporting of Domestic Abuse incidents, baseline to be set during the first year
                        (2005)

                        To reduce the number of repeat victims of Domestic Abuse by March 2008

SMART Target

AMBER VALLEY            To reduce wounding rates by 5% by 2008, from 1095 incidents to 1040 incidents

EREWASH                 To reduce Violent Crime classified as ‘Wounding’ by 10% by March 2008 from 1094 to 985
