Follow-on work

							Summary of Follow-on Work

The current project has completed its pilot phase and has already generated some valuable outcomes,
for example in identifying skills gaps experienced by graduates in the early years of employment, and
also in testing a survey instrument. Since the emphasis is on curriculum improvement, it is axiomatic
that some time will elapse before this can be fully evaluated. The purpose of the follow-on work is to
examine more closely the curriculum enhancements resulting from the project in a slightly longer
timescale, and to identify the best ways of ensuring that feedback from former students, based on their
assessment of the skills required in their employment, are fed back into curriculum design, and so
ensure that HE courses are meeting the needs of students and employers.
