Great Exhibition

							                        The Great Exhibition
            Prince Albert planned a huge exhibition.
  It was held in a big glass building called the Crystal Palace.
   It opened in 1851 and was visited by over 6 million people.
  On display were Victorian inventions, engines and over 1,000
             other items like clothes and furniture.
People travelled from all over the country and all over the world
                  to see the Great Exhibition.
