XXXX is making good progress against this standard.

   he has started her first term with very high expectations and is not only
    committed to enforcing these but has been successful in ensuring that his
    pupils are aware of them and follow them.

   he has experimented with a number of differing teaching and learning styles
    and has found styles which are best suited to the different groups he teaches
    at Key stage 4 and post-16.

   he has already established effective working relationships with teaching
    colleagues, CSAs and other non-teaching staff. His pleasant and open
    manner reflects his approach to all relationships.

   he sets a good example to all his pupils through his professional approach
    and attitude.

   he has made a valuable contribution to the work of the department this term
    with his ideas, different approaches, enthusiasm and the use of his own
    experiences prior to becoming a teacher.

    objectives in a manner that is suitable to the ability ranges in the classes she

   She is capable of planning and delivering a range of tasks that match her
    selected teaching and learning strategies.

   Her lessons are well structured and benefit from effective sequencing

   Target setting is developing for classes, small groups and individuals as
    dictated by the specification she is teaching and she makes good use of oral
    and written assessments to ensure progression in learning that is built on
    prior learning experiences.

   Her classroom management is improving all the time and effective
    relationships are being built with pupils in the 14-19 range.
