Lafayette Reservoir Fishing Report by sae16085

									       Lafayette Reservoir Fishing Report
On 1-26-10 an angler caught a whopper- 8 lb 14 oz Rainbow in the
South Cove on powerbait. Old timers/regulars at the reservoir are
catching their limits of trout and a few catfish on worms and
powerbait. People not familiar with the reservoir are finding it slow
going, catching at most a couple of 1-2 lb trout. Fishing is best off
of the boats and in the South Cove. The bass bite is slow—some
experienced anglers catch a few. 1000 lbs of Rainbow Trout (10%
trophy size) planted by Mt. Lassen on 1-19-10 bringing our season
                          total to 7000 lbs.

Next fish plant is scheduled for the week of Feb 1st .
