					Summer Programs


Telluride Association Summer Programs is offering a 6 week summer program. This
program is offered to a jr. who wants to challenge themselves to learn from college
professors in a college-level seminar. If you wish to be nominated, please come to the
Counseling Center.


Regional Upward Bound Mathematics and Science Program to be held from June 16-July 27th on
UMBC campus. Deadline for applications is 12/15/06. Students must be in 9th, 10th, or 11th gr.,
have an interest in math and science, GPA 3.0 or better, and low income or first generation college
status.



University of Delaware Summer College for current Soph. and Juniors. Join 125 highly

University of Notre Dame in Indiana is offering Summer Experience 2007, a pre-college
program held on campus June 24 – July 7, 2007 for current Soph. and Juniors. March 1

Washington Workshops, Washington, DC is offering an internship program for talented

The College of William and Mary and The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation offering
a joint pre-collegiate summer program for juniors and seniors. Two three week sessions June
24-July 14 and July 15-August 4, 2007. Students will earn four hours of college credit for
three week summer course. Highly motivated students with a particular background in
American history not required.

Smith Summer Science and Engineering Program , Come and explore interests and great
opportunities for girls in the science and engineering fields. Open for girls entering grades 9-

Summer Advantage Study Abroad Opportunities at six universities around the world.
China, England, France, Italy, Russia, and Spain are the participating cities were the colleges
are located. Various weeks starting June 21st ending July 30th. All programs last four weeks

Boston University offers a PROMYS program (Program in Math for young Scientists)
A 6 week residential program at the University. Cost will be $2,400 (fin. aid available)

Catholic University of America is offering an experience in Architecture. This is a pre-
college summer workshop. 2 Sessions being offered; June 18-July 6, and July 9- July 27

Oxbridge Academic Program is offering 2 summer programs, The Cambridge Tradition
(July 6-31) or the Oxford Tradition (July 2-27). Both located in the United Kingdom. More

Harvard Summer School Secondary School Program is to be held from June 23-August
17 (2 shorter sessions available June 23- July 20 and July 22-August 17) at Harvard
University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. High school seniors, juniors, and sophomores
choose from among dozens of courses. Info online at www.ssp.harvard.edu or in the

University of Southern California Summer Seminars will be held is for rising juniors and
seniors. Students will live on campus, study with USC instructors, and sample college life.

Summer Study programs are held at Penn State University, University of Colorado at
Boulder, and The Sorbonne in Paris. College credit available for students completing 10th,

The American Legion 2007 Boys State Program will be held at McDaniel College from
June 17-23, 2007. The program’s aim is to expose current high school juniors to the U.S.

National Youth Science Camp is held in the eastern mountains of West Virginia from June
27-July 23. Offered at no cost to participants. Applications available at www.nysc.org or

Landmark Volunteers offers 2-week summer volunteer opportunities at 52 host

National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. has ten-day programs is for 9th,
10th, and 11th graders. More info and application available at www.cylc.org or in the

Stanford University hosts High School Summer College from June 23-August 19, 2007.
Students earn university credit while exploring the sciences, humanities, arts, and languages.

Virginia. The program offers high school students college-level coursework on international
