How do you apply for funding? You need to write a proposal in Microsoft Word format which should be no more than 750 words long detailing what your idea sets out to achieve and what environmental problem it resolves. The Fund’s board of directors, consisting of representatives from Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics and its owners, will judge the submissions. They will look for proposals that best articulate the inventor’s case simply, clearly and concisely and in plain not-technical language. All submissions must be in English. Your proposal must contain the following elements: Contact details Your full name, address and contact details including telephone, mobile, email and website address, if you have one Date of birth Background Brief details about yourself – you can attach a CV as an appendix to your proposal The Objective & Outcome – The problem/issue to be resolved What is the objective of your project? What specific environmental issue will your idea resolve? What is the expected outcome of your idea? What will it tangibly achieve? The Project Explain in succinct detail what your idea is? Research What further research will be needed to bring your project forward? What steps need to be taken to develop your idea? Timetable Over what timescale do you envisage your idea taking - from its conception to its practical implementation? Budget What research budget to you envisage your project will need? Evaluation How will you evaluate the success of your project? How will we know whether your idea is achievable? Where do I send my proposal?
