Purpose of the Job

To provide effective and high quality administrative support to promote efficient delivery of the purpose and mission of the School

Key Job Outcomes

           Complete a range of clerical and administrative duties, including:

                   composing, distributing draft responses and final copy in dealing with a range of correspondence; sourcing
                    material and preparing drafts for complex documents and reports, including paperwork generated by the
                    Community SENCo
                   identifying caller’s requirements for internal & external queries, providing an appropriate response and only
                    referring to a colleague complex issues
                   collecting and distributing documents/correspondence to and from the correct internal destination
                   developing and maintaining appointments diaries, providing staff with notification and collating the necessary
                    required data and documentation to deal with the appointments
                   preparing, collating and distributing documents
                   operating a computer to amend/update spreadsheets, databases and to produce documentation using word
                    processing applications
                   maintaining, updating, sorting and retrieving a range of records/statistical data
                   accurate filing, indexing, retrieving and other related work
                   handling cash and maintaining records of transactions in preparation for passing to the Deputy College Manager
                   accurate completion of a range of standard calculations
                   following standard procedures for security of confidential data and information


to allow colleagues and senior members of staff to achieve their own work objectives effectively and
efficiently


2.         Complete reception duties, for the relevant Community including


                   identifying and meeting the actual needs of people asking for information
                   referring enquirers to the colleague best placed to deal with complex queries
                   receiving, logging, passing on and if necessary following up messages for colleagues in a timely and effective
                    manner

General Accountabilities

A.       So far as reasonably practicable, the postholder must promote safe working practices by employees and visitors in
