• There are 3 types of financial aid:
• Grants: financial aid that students don’t have to
repay.
• Loans: borrowed money that students must
repay with interest.
• Work-Study: lets students work and earn money
to help pay for school.
• Undergraduates may receive all three types of
financial aid. Not all schools participate in the
Federal Student Aid Programs. Also, not all
schools take part in all the programs.

notice and cost $1.00.
Letters of Recommendation
It is important that you give teachers
and/or counselors a 2-3 week notice
if you want them to write a letter of
recommendation. Please plan ahead
so you won’t miss any deadlines on
scholarships or college applications.
