Web sites
      Bell-Labs Graduate Research Fellowship Program Fellowships are awarded to women and members of
      a minority group currently underrepresented in the sciences who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

      Coca-Cola Two-Year College Scholarships The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is a merit-
      based scholarship awarded to 250 high school seniors each year. Fifty of these are four-year $20,000
      scholarships ($5,000 per year for four years), while 200 are designated as four-year $10,000 scholarships
      ($2,500 per year for four years). The scholarships can be used at any accredited U.S. college or university.

      College Board The College Board is an association whose mission is to connect students to college
      success and opportunity. It serves students and their parents, high schools, and colleges through major
      programs and services in college admissions, guidance, assessment, financial aid, enrollment, teaching and

      DCCCD Scholarship Information This site provides information about Dallas County Community College’s
      financial aid, scholarships and various payment methods.

      Department of Education The Department of Education provides information on Financial Aid, Grants,
      Loans and work study programs; Career Colleges and Technical Schools; and homework help.

      The Gates Millennium Scholarships Funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this
      scholarship program was established “to provide outstanding African American, American Indian/Alaska
      Natives, Asian Pacific Islander Americans, and Hispanic American students” with an opportunity to complete
      an undergraduate education in all discipline areas and a graduate education for those pursuing studies in
      mathematics, science, engineering, education, library science, or public health.

      FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on the Web:

      Federal Trade Commission Info on Scholarship Scams The FTC works for the consumer to prevent
      fraudulent, deceptive and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to provide information to help
      consumers spot and avoid such practices. This site provides information on how to avoid scholarship scams.

      FinAid! FinAid! is a comprehensive source of student financial aid information, advice and tools.

      Mapping your Future This is a national collaborative project of the financial aid industry which provides free
      college, career, financial aid, and financial literacy services for students, families, and schools.

      NASFAA’S Financial Aid Information Page NASFAA is an association of over 3,000 colleges, universities,
      career schools, and others with an interest in the effective administration of student financial aid. Through
      this Web site, NASFAA provides information on the financial aid process and directs users to some
      important and helpful financial aid guidance on the Web.

      National Merit Scholarship Corporation – National Achievement Scholarship Program This program is
      an academic competition established in 1964 to provide recognition for outstanding Black American high
      school students.

      Sallie Mae Sallie Mae is one of the nation’s leading providers of student loans and this site provides
      information to students and their parents about the loan process and other financial aid topics.

      Scholarship Directory This directory has been compiled by the Beverly Hills/Hollywood NAACP and
      contains a current list of scholarships and financial aid available to minority students.

      Scholarships for Hispanic Students This web site contains a link to a directory of scholarships for
      Hispanic students.

      Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Association. TG is a public, nonprofit corporation that administers the
      Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP). They provide information, financing, and assistance to
      families and students.

      Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund This fund was established in 1987 to carry on Justice Marshall's
      legacy of equal access to higher education by supporting exceptional merit scholars attending America's
      Public Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The scholarships are awarded to students with a
      demonstrated financial need; may be awarded to any class student; may be renewable; and average
      approximately $2200 per student per semester.

      Window on State Government This site contains information such as a list of colleges and universities in
      the State of Texas, admission requirements, financial aid data and related information, helpful hints to those
      beginning college, and a calendar of various scholarship deadlines arranged by months. The list does not
      include graduate/professional schools, private specialized, or private technical schools.
