What is my hand baggage allowance? You are permitted one small piece of hand baggage of not more than 10kg and dimensions not in excess of 46x30x23cm. In addition you may carry on board a handbag, duty free type goods within reason, laptop computer, coat, umbrella. It is not possible to use your hand baggage allowance against your checked baggage allowance or visa versa. What is my checked baggage allowance? You are permitted 18kg of checked baggage per travelling passenger. In all circumstances, checked baggage over 18kg will incur excess baggage charges at the current rate. Our baggage rules are fixed for all flights and not dependent on the occupancy of a particular flight. Please, please make sure your baggage is strong and fit for purpose! It may be handled as many as 15 times between check-in and Baggage Reclaim at your destination airport. To deliver low cost services, turnarounds need to be fast and so baggage must be strong in order to both protect your belongings and avoid your bag being damaged. Excess Baggage Subject to availability and at Jet2.com’s discretion you may check-in excess baggage, which will be subject to an additional charge of 5GBP/ 8EUR/ 12CHF/ 250CZK/ 60NOK/ 30PLN per kg. This charge is payable at the departure airport. Payment is generally accepted in local currency cash or by payment card which support foreign currency transactions. If you are planning to travel with excess baggage please allow extra time for the check-in process. No single item of baggage may weigh more than 32kg. We will not be responsible for any loss you may suffer if there is insufficient space to carry the excess baggage. Please note that at some European airports, payment card payments may only be made in the same currency as used for the original flight booking. Outsize Baggage and Sporting Equipment For the carriage of outsize and sporting items such as golf bags, snowboards, skis, bicycles, surfboards and body boards please see below. To pre-book large water sports equipment and for charges for other, non listed sports equipment, please contact the Call Centre. These charges will be payable in the local currency at the departure airport at check-in. We cannot guarantee extra space on the flight on which you are booked for such items. If space is not available, the items will be sent on the next flight with available space. Special conditions apply to the carriage of sports and outsize items. Many items of sporting equipment, including but not limited to golf clubs, bicycles, surfboards, water and winter sports equipment, are inherently unsuitable for carriage by a low cost airline operating fast turnarounds. However, Jet2.com is prepared to carry such items (one item per travelling passenger) on a ‘Limited Release’ basis i.e. entirely ‘at your own risk’ for loss, damage or delay. Passengers must, therefore, ensure that they have suitable private insurance cover in place, as claims against Jet2.com for damage in transit to these items will not be considered. Current charges applicable for the carriage of the following items are shown below. However, charges will be levied at the prevailing rate on the date of travel. Item of Carriage Charge Per Single Flight GOLF CLUBS**** 15GBP/ 23EUR/ 35CHF/ 750CZK/ 225NOK/ 90PLN ****The personal baggage allowance for golfing and winter sports passengers is increased from 18kg to 32kg subject to this additional payment per sector. Should this limit be exceeded, the normal excess baggage charges will apply.
