including a talk and a creative workshop


What Does The Day Involve?

9.00am Registration with Tea or Coffee

9.30am Welcome and Introduction to the day

9.45am             A Journey of Discovery – a light hearted and interactive session to identify personal styles
                   and communication preferences and the influence they have upon the workings and success of
                   a Club.

                   Outcomes:
                   Increased awareness of self and fellow lions
                   Insight into how to improve communication and teamwork within your club

11.15am           Information Exchange – the roles and responsibilities of the Club Officers, President
                  Secretary and Treasurer.
                  A facilitated interactive workshop to look at the changing roles and responsibilities of the club
                  officers
                  Outcomes:
                  Clarification of the responsibilities and duties of the Club President, Secretary and Treasurer
                  A refresher of Lions protocol
                  An opportunity to contribute to the future development of the roles of the club officers

12.15pm Lunch
                  Time has been built in for you to visit the Display Stands

1.15pm Time to Put your Knowledge to the Test
               A fun team quiz

1.30pm            Membership and Public Relations – So you have heard it all before!
                  A creative workshop, drawing upon your personal strengths and life experiences. Working in
                  small groups you will have an opportunity to develop innovative ideas and ways of marketing
                  your club and publicising your activities

                  Outcomes:
                  Practical ideas and tips for increasing awareness of your club and attracting new members

3.00pm the Way Forward
               Facilitated discussion about the support, help and training members would like in the future
               Outcomes:
               Ideas for future training days
               Ideas for improved communication
               Ideas for how the District Officers could support clubs
               Ideas for how clubs and zones could work together effectively

3.30pm Discussion about the Day
               An opportunity for questions and to review the activities / format of the day

3.50pm Closing Remarks and Presentation of Prizes to the winners of the Quiz

4.00pm Close
