Give Our Bangers a Bash on Sausage Saturday!
50p off a pack of sausages

Tasty bites of local sausages and other regionally produced foods will be on
the table for tastings at Fresh @ Burcot’s Sausage Saturday sampling day.

The event is being held on Saturday 16 May at Fresh@Burcot Garden Centre,
in Burcot village near Bromsgrove. On Sausage Saturday visitors are invited to
taste some of the wonderful local food regularly stocked in the shop. The
garden centre’s Cafe Fresh uses many local ingredients in the food it serves
too. *If a visitor takes this article to the counter they will also be entitled
to 50p off a pack of sausages.

Fresh@Burcot is a member of HEART of ENGLAND fine foods (HEFF), the
regional food group for the West Midlands, and its Savour the Flavour retail
scheme whereby Savour the Flavour branded chillers and shelves are placed in
store and stocked with a range of locally produced food and drink.

Owner Neil Gow said: “We wanted to promote the fact that “local” is very
important to us and that we stock a good range at Fresh. Our main business
is the garden centre and there are very few of our plants which haven’t come
from growers in the region so we’ve continued that philosophy into Fresh as
keeping things regional matters to us hugely.
“So I’d encourage people to come along and sample some sausages from
Simple Suppers along with a range of other regionally produced foods.”

Other producers stocked at Fresh are: Tyrrell’s, Country Markets, Franks,
Essential Dressings, Fowlers Cheese, Four Anjels, Devine Foods, The
Shropshire Spice Company, Harvest of Arden, Hampstead Brewing, Kit’s
Kitchen and Wye Valley Apiaries.

In the garden centre, which is open every day (Monday to Saturday 9.00am -
5.30pm and Sundays 10.30 til 4.30pm) visitors can also buy barbecues and
charcoal as well as a range of garden furniture and everything else needed to
enjoy the garden this summer.
