Institute for Graphical Algorithms, University of Karlsruhe Karlsruhe, Germany The Institute of Human-Computer Interaction and Graphical Algorithms (IBDS) deals with the development of efficient and fast algorithms for graphical problems und data structures. ASSISTANT RESEARCHER / SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR Responsible for upgrading the institute's network from mainly Solaris machines to a heterogenous network consisting of Solaris, Linux (Debian) and Windows98/NT machines. Part of the Camera Robot (CaRo) project, which investigated a totally new approach for 3D object reconstruction using a robot controlled CCD camera. C++ software development with MS Visual Studio utilizing the MFC and STL libraries. Achievements - Installed and configured a whole range of administrative tools as well as custom shell scripts to alleviate system administration. - Designed and developed a client/server based control program for a Schuster VS-6354B robot used within the CaRo project.
