                                 Alumni Dinner
    Brothers,
Another year has begun here at Tech and in keeping with the strong traditions set by many of you, our chapter
continues to excel here on campus. With each new school year we look forward to a new pledge class and another
opportunity to make good men better, this year we had a very successful rush and have brought in a new class of men
who have the potential to be great Betas. We look forward to the time when we will be able to call them brothers.
As some of you may have noticed during the first few football games, the face of Lil’ Tara has changed. We now
have a beautiful new retaining wall completely paid for by alumni. Everyone really came through with donations as
we raised right around $40,000 for the wall, which made it possible to implement the design we really wanted. Also it
is important to note that the wall was designed by Tony Piede, and built by Joe Crist (both Gamma Eta Brothers).
The chapter also continues to receive awards from the school and the national fraternity. This past summer we won
our 25th straight Sisson, the longest streak in all of Beta. We also placed in every category of the Dean Dull award,
giving us the most points overall and proving once again that we are the most well rounded house on campus.
Once again I would like to thank our alumni for their continued interest in the state of the house, not only do you
keep us on the right track through advisory positions you remind us of what it means and has meant to be a Beta
through the years, giving us the necessary motivation to complete our goals and have a good time. And as always
we hope to see you this year at homecoming and throughout the semester.
                                                                                                         Yours in _kai_,
                                                                                                    Adam Swett -1819-

                         Come Visit Your House…
The active members of the Gamma Eta Chapter of Beta Theta Pi would like to remind all alumni that we would
love to see you at L’il Tara. For this reason, we would like to invite all alumni to a few events we will be hosting in
the near future:
                                             Dinner for Alums!
The chapter will be hosting a dinner for our alumni on Sunday, October 14th at 6:30 PM at the house. Let us
show off our wonderful cook to you. Feel free to bring a guest as well. Dress will be casual. Please RSVP to kevin.
widmaier@gatech.edu by Monday, October 8th, as we must limit attendance to 60 alumni (plus their guests).
                                      Football Tailgates and Food
The chapter always has food available for our families and friends two hours prior to kickoff. Please feel free to
come by the house with your family before football games, and enjoy the food we have to offer when it becomes
available. As a reminder, here is the home football schedule for the remainder of the year:
