E328 Learning Journal
Reading/Assignment Completed Instructor’s Initials Directions: After each class record your thoughts, diary-style, below. This should NOT be a summary of what was done in class; rather it should be your opinions, thoughts, and questions related to what it means to be a teacher of science. This journal will be collected after each class (put it in the blue tray) and Dr. J. will read it. At the end of the semester you will use your journal to complete a reflection, which will be used to determine your class participation grade for the semester. Use these questions to guide your thinking: Was there something with which I strongly agreed or disagreed? Why? Did something surprise me? Why was it surprising? Was a specific teaching strategy or activity especially effective or ineffective? What made it effective/ineffective? Am I confused or frustrated by the way some part of the class was taught? What questions do I have?
