Project Three: High School Student Life Storybook or Journal

You have seen so much information about life in a Japanese high school. Now, is your chance
to write and draw a story or make a journal, pretending you were a Japanese high school student.
In your story, talk about your daily lives, the fun things they do, and other happenings at school,
among others.


Requirements:
1. Fully-illustrated story with at least ten-fifteen pages, 20+ slides if you are using Power-point.
2. Make sure to include information we have learned throughout this unit and from additional
research (cite all sources in a bibliography).
        a. Uniforms, Cleaning, Entrance Exams, Cram School, Studying
        b. Fun Activities, clubs and free-time after school
        c. Classes
3. Develop a character and give your story a title
4. Come up with-well developed plot
5. Use color and be creative!!!!!!
6. Present and read your story in front of the class
7. ½ to full page on how you felt about this project and what you gained from doing this project—how
did it make you understand Japanese high schools.
8. MAKE SURE IT IS AN AUTHENTIC REPRESENTATION OF HIGH SCHOOL LIFE IN JAPAN

Options for Presenting Your “Story/Journal”

   1. Develop a video journal pretending that you are the student describing his/her life at school.
      This includes a journal (narration of events), and scenes of the events you talk about.

   2. Develop a paper-based story-book with written narration and illustration of a story presenting
      your life at school.

   3. Develop and powerpoint story-book with written or audio narration and illustration of a story
      presenting your life at school.
