The Alameda

The Alameda Business Association and the Shasta/Hanchett Park
Neighborhood Association will be holding a community meeting on
May 23rd to kick-off a dialog regarding the future of The Alameda.
In the coming months local business owners and residents will
be working together with the goal of transforming The Alameda
into a vibrant business district that leverages the history of the
neighborhood. With dialog, forethought and planning we aim create
a business zone that is not only compatible with residents, but
becomes a place where families want spend time and shop. Join us!
We will hear a little about our history, the vision of the Grand
Boulevard Task Force (a group with the goal of revitalizing the state’s
HWY82), the findings of our own walkability study and opportunities
for funding planning activities. Also, The Castle Group has agreed
to take neighborhood input on the architecture of their new project
