Factors are numbers that are multiplied to get a product. Factors of a number
will divide the number evenly. For example: Find the factors of 4: 1x4=4,
2x2=4 (the factors of 4 are 1, 2, and 4) because these are the numbers that
divide evenly into 4.

Problem: Find the factors of 32 by following the steps 1-4.
                               STEP 1
Every number has 1 and itself as factors.
 32 / 1 = 32 or 1 x 32 = 32, so 1 and 32 are factors of 32.

                                 STEP 2
Find other factors by dividing by 2 then 3, and so on.
 32 / 2 = 16 or 2 x 16 = 32, so 2 is a factor of 32.
 3 does not divide evenly into 32, so 3 is not a factor of 32.
 32 / 4 = 8 or 4 x 8 = 32, so 4 is a factor of 32.

                                STEP 3
Continue to divide to find all the factors of 32.

                                 STEP 4
                            List factors of 32
                  1, 2, ______, 8, _______, 32
List the factors of each number.
