June 5, 2008 Workshop/Action Meeting Board of Education of the Borough of Little Ferry, Bergen County, NJ President Craig Rogers called the Workshop/Action Meeting of the Little Ferry Board of Education to order on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 7:32 p.m. and led the Board in the Salute to the Flag. OPENING STATEMENT Interim Board Secretary Agostino Rottino read the following Opening Statement affirming that the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Law requirements had been met: The New Jersey Open Public Meeting Law was enacted to insure the right of the public to have advance notice of and to attend meetings of public bodies at which business affecting their interests is discussed or acted upon. In accordance with the provisions of the Act, the Business Administrator/Board Secretary has caused notice of this meeting to be published by having the date, time and place thereof placed in the Memorial School, Washington School and the Municipal Building with notices sent to THE RECORD of the news media. R: 52 06/05/08 APPROVE ANNMARIE CRUM-HOME INSTRUCTOR-07-08 Motion by Trustee Seconded by Trustee BE IT RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Little Ferry Board of Education hereby approves Annmarie Crum, Teacher, to provide home instruction for a 2nd grade student effective June 2, 2008 to June 17, 2008, ten (10) hours per week at a rate of $30.00 per hour.
R: 53 06/05/08 APPROVE MICHELE MALKI-HOME INSTRUCTOR-07-08 Motion by Trustee Seconded by Trustee BE IT RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Little Ferry Board of Education hereby approves Michele Malki, Teacher, to provide home instruction for an 8th grade student effective June 2, 2008 to June 17, 2008, ten (10) hours per week at a rate of $30.00 per hour.
NEW BUSINESS Inter-local Agreement with the Borough of Little Ferry dealing with technology services is being reviewed by the Board Attorney.
