 “SHAPING THE FUTURE
      OF EUROPE”

   Place: camp near Kyiv.

    “SHAPING THE FUTURE OF EUROPE”

   Participants: defined 18 Ukrainian
    schools by a competition. One team
    from one school.
   Team: 3 pupils and 1 teacher from a
    school.
   Total: 95 participants.
    “SHAPING THE FUTURE OF EUROPE”

   This performance has two
    parts:

    the simulation game and
   the training for teachers.
        About the simulation
   Target group:
   school-students from Ukrainian
    schools
   15-17 years old
   Aim: the model-based reproduction of The
    EU system and enlargement process.
    Content learning: unraveling the
    complexity of the EU system,
    understanding the function of the roles in
    the simulated system, understanding the
    relationship between procedural rules,
    decision-making procedures, opportunities
    of Ukraine and another candidate-
    countries in negotiation process.
   Home task:
         to be well-oriented in structure, functions, staff and
          aims of EU institutions (Council of Ministers,
          European Commission, European Parliament);
         to be competent in economic, political, social and
          cultural situation in the EU candidate-countries:
          Croatia, Turkey, Ukraine;
         to be well-oriented in economic situation of EU
          member-countries;
         to make a forecast about opportunities for candidate-
          countries ant the position of EU according to them;
         to know the current EU-news;
         to be ready with the 5-10 minute speech on the
          topic: “Ukraine – European country”;
         to make a team-presentation (10-15 min): about
          participants, the school or the region (native city) in
          a free form.
          About the training
   Target group: teachers from
    schools all over Ukraine (Donezk,
    Chernigov, Odesa, Poltava,
    Dnipropetrovsk etc.).
   Aim: to teach the teachers of Ukraine
    active methods of studying about the
    Europe. Part monitoring of the project
    “European Studies in Ukrainian schools”.
   We have a chance to share our experience
    with teachers from other regions. We’ll tell
    about Polish, Germane, Russian and
    Ukrainian methods of active studying
    about the Europe.
