4.1 Product Search Documentation



Instructions



Use the "Product Search Documentation" worksheet to document every software solution that you have

considered. Examples have been provided in blue.



Rating: Green = Short-listed, Yellow = Back-up for short list, Red = Eliminated



Source: Identify how you found the solution (i.e. Google Search, Yahoo Directory, Association reference,

etc.)



Product Name: Document the full name of the product



Vendor Name: Document the full name of the vendor that created the product (avoid resellers if

possible)



URL: Include the website address of the product page using the hyperlink functionality of Excel

(highlight the URL in the Address bar of the web browser, choose CTRL+C, toggle to this Excel file, click

on the appropriate cell, press CTRL+V, right click on the cell, choose "Hyperlink" and press CTRL+V

again)



Reason for Eliminating: If you will not be short listing this product, document the reason in this

column



Comments: Document any additional comments you have regarding the product or vendor (i.e. price,

platform concerns, scalability issues, vendor viability concerns, etc.)
