Cinderella Heads to North Shropshire
shropshirelive.com is pleased to announce its official media partnership with
Yellow Brick Road Stage Productions for the brand new North Shropshire
pantomime - Cinderella.

The Civic Centre, at the heart of the wonderful market town of Whitchurch, will
be the home of this family favourite from January 6th - 10th 2010. Bringing
with it all the cheers and boo's expected, and a whole host of laughs and
magical merriment...

The production will be first professional pantomime in North Shropshire for
some time. Speaking to shropshirelive.com, YBR company director, Nic
Breeze said:

“We have produced panto for a number of years now in Cleethorpes and the
shows have been a great success”.

“But being a Shropshire Lad by birth and upbringing, when the opportunity to
produce a pantomime in North Shropshire presented itself, we grabbed it with
both hands. Shropshire, and Whitchurch itself is such a beautiful part of the
country, it is going to be a great privilege to stage Cinderella here”.

“Cinderella is the story of a young girl bullied and put upon by her evil Ugly
stepsisters, until one day she finally meets her Prince and all her dreams
come true.”

Zoé Pembroke who plays our heroine says:

“She might be bullied to start with, but this Cinders has got some fight left in
her yet! And with friends like Buttons (played by Tom Scott) and the Fairy
Godmother (Played by Tessa Hatts from CITV‟s Wizadora) helping out, all
comes right in the end.”

Yellow Brick Road‟s production is a traditional Pantomime in all the right
ways, with a laugh a minute story line, romance, slapstick two VERY ugly
sisters, and bags and bags of fun.”

But it‟s not all about professionals. As well as the sparkling principal cast,
Yellow Brick Road are looking for a number of young budding dancers to join
the show playing villagers and courtiers. Do you belong to a dance school or
group? If so, get your dance schools to contact Yellow Brick Road Stage
Productions by email: info@ybrstageproductions.co.uk and you may be
treading the boards this Christmas season. It is with regret that the company
will not be able to take on individuals this year.

Cinderella will be at the Whitchurch Civic Centre from the 6th to the 10th of
January 2010 with matinee and evening performances at 1.30pm and 7.30pm
every day. Tickets are available online at www.cinderella.shropshirelive.com,
from the Heritage Centre in Whitchurch or by calling the box office on 01948
665 432.

shropshirelive.com will be promoting the pantomime up to its launch, including
competitions and features as well as appearances at a number of North
Shropshire events.

Business partner Chris Pritchard said: “This is a great opportunity for us to
team up with a professional pantomime company and bring something new to
North Shropshire”

“We are really looking forward to helping promote Cinderella and have
designed the pantomime website so our visitors can find out all the
information they need on this stunning production.”

shropshirelive.com character costume mascot „Buddy the Dog‟ will also be
making a special appearance on the opening night of the pantomime
welcoming guests to the performance.
