   The 2009 Australian Championships have taken

   place, with excellent results achieved.

   Hunter Surf Lifesaving is holding a presentation for
   the - "Newcastle Permanent Surf Series" and
   get together for Carnival Officials at Nobbys SLSC
   2nd April 2009, commencing at 6pm. The
   presentation of cheques to winners will be made.

   The Surf Lifesaving and National Coursing
   Association (Greyhounds) will be holding a
   spectacular night for all Clubs to attend with
   major prizes available.

   LIFESAVING:
Attention all Club Captains: There will be a
meeting for all Club Captains at the Branch Office
6th April 2009 commencing at 6pm for a season
wrap up. Please RSVP 49614533

Please don't forget you only have 1 week after the
end of the month to enter patrol hours on
Surfguard. It would be appreciated if you
could send in your YELLOW Patrol sheets to the
Branch Office.

Clubs are reminded that if they participate in any
event outside of Surf Lifesaving, Water safety,
people power etc you must lodge a Special Event
Form to cover your members with
Insurance. These can be downloaded from our
website MEMBERS - Downloadable Forms

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:

Youth Development Camp: Congratulations to
all the Rookies who attended the Youth
Development Camp and Rookie Challenge Day, all
Rookies had a fantastic day. Many thanks to Fingal
SLSC for their help and to all the Team Leaders
and volunteers for the day a huge Thank you.

SENIOR FIRST AID:

Next Senior First Aid Course is to be held on
the 7th April 2009 at Redhead conducted by
Scott & Sheree Young.

Phone contact 0422 734 834 Names also being
taken for courses to be held on the 18th April 2009
and 21st April 2009. If your Club has sufficient
numbers to complete a Senior First Aid
Course/Refresher this can be arranged to be done
at your Club.

SLS NSW Training & Education Officer - Linda
Miles will conduct a Senior First Aid course on
the 29th April 2009 commencing at 9am to be
conducted at the Hunter Branch Office, Tighes Hill.

2009 6pm to 9pm, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th
April 2009 commencing 9am to 4pm

The 2009 Interstate Team who travelled to
Scarborough for the Interstate Championships
were very successful. The team included 6 Hunter
members. NSW finished 1st overall an excellent
