In order to submit abstracts online or via SP 1.1 an e-mail address is obligatory. Correspondence includes all notification letters that inform the "Corresponding Author/Presenter" of the status of their abstract. This is the best way for us to contact you, so it is important that you enter your e-mail address accurately! Please let us know if there are any changes!

Preparation
Open the online registration form and follow the fields carefully. Obligatory information is indicated by stars and in coloured red. Abstract title and text (structured as: Background, Methods, Results, Discussion) should be preformed using your text editor directly on the form space indicated by means of US/West European script language or using the ESC submission programme SP1.1. Avoid Greek letters and symbols. Instead of 'IFN- ' use for example 'IFN-g' or 'IFN-gamma'. Avoid complex mathematical formulae. For the plus minus symbols, type +/- instead of ±. When preparing your abstract, bear in mind that it will not only be read by experts in your field but also by colleagues who may not be familiar with your topic.

Please download the new programme: SP.1.1 2005 Please don't use the version of the last years because the new programme differs fundamentally ! The ESC - Submission-Programme SP 1.1 will guide you through the process of submission step by step. Please don`t forget to save the data on a floppy disk especially if you want to interrupt your work and/or continue on a different PC. Please start with: 1. "Author Details": Please enter details about the first author and save it. Please write : Michael Wonderful instead of MICHAEL WONDERFUL. This information is necessary! 2. "Abstract Details": Please give details about the abstract and the co-authors and save it. This information is necessary! 3. "Abstract": The abstract may not have more than 1800 characters! Please save it! This information is necessary! 4. "Table": Complete the table available if a table is necessary! 5. "Graphic": Only jpeg, gif and bmp formats are possible - maximum size: 400 KB. To fill in a graphic is not necessary! After a final check, which will show you if you have omitted any necessary data, press the send button to activate your e-mail programme. If there are problems with your e-mail programme please copy the data from the floppy disk and send it to: Submission@eurostroke.org You will receive a confirmation e-mail. Please make sure that your abstract is in an accurate format because it will be published exactly as submitted! (Abstract title max 180 characters/signs; Abstract max 1800 characters/signs )

When everything has been correctly entered please press the send button on the formular website to submit your abstract!
Please send the abstract only once and not repeatedly!

Confirmation
After having submitted your material you'll receive a letter with the data provided. Confirm the originality of your abstract and get your Abstract Identification (Abstract ID) by pressing the confirmation button . Without your "Abstract Identification Number" ( Abstract ID )it isn't sure whether the abstract has arrived!

Finish
Finally, you are asked to enter a password along with your e-mail address and last name. Please enter the same text as you did previously in the online registration form and press the send button. You will find your Abstract ID, the password and the abstract title below. Please print or/and save it.
Your Abstract ID is absolutely necessary in order to confirm your submission without it isn't sure wether the abstract has arrived!
It also enables you to correspond with the ESC office at any time during the review process.
