WEB Time Entry For Bi-Weekly Employees

This documentation is to assist employees
with time entry using the Web. It shows
how to enter time worked and time off
vacation, holidays, etc.
Go to http://www.mville.edu
Click on the FACULTY & STAFF tab
Click on the

The WebAdvisor home page displays

Enter your WebAdvisor User ID
using only lower case letters
(the first part of your email account name –
leaving out @mville.edu)
Enter your pin/password
Click on the EMPLOYEES tab found on the

Your Electronic Time Card (also known as the Time Entry Form) will display.
Enter TIME IN and TIME OUT for the appropriate
dates. Enter time with AM and PM.
9 a.m. is entered as 9:00AM or 9am and
4 p.m. is entered as 4:00PM or 4pm
OPTIONAL: Insert line if needed.
Two lines for each day appear automatically. To enter more than two lines for a day,
you may insert another line by clicking the Insert Line box and then SUBMIT. This may be
necessary if you work in the same job three times in one day.
Example: Work in the morning, go to lunch, work in the afternoon, leave to go to class or
non-work appointment, work again in the afternoon.
If necessary, enter Annual Leave Hours and/or Sick Hours.
NOTE: This will only be available if you are eligible and enrolled in vacation and/or sick leave
plans. If you are eligible but the time card will not allow you to enter time, please contact the
Human Resources or Payroll office for assistance.
NOTE: If you do not have enough leave time you will not be permitted to enter vacation hours
or sick hours. If this happens, contact Human Resources. A paper time sheet may be required
for entry of these leave hours.
If your position is eligible for Jury Duty, Personal Leave, or Holiday, for example, use the
Other Time Hours and Other Time Types columns to enter these kinds of hours for pay.
Click the drop down arrow to reveal the kinds of time that may be entered in the Other Time
Types column. If you are not eligible for “other time” then the words “Not Applicable” will
appear. If you feel you should be eligible, please contact the Human Resources or Payroll
Click SUBMIT to log your hours and other information that you entered.
IMPORTANT: By clicking SUBMIT, you are not submitting the card to your supervisor. You will
only be logging your hours to help keep track of accurate hours. For this reason, you may enter
your hours at the end of each shift, at the end of the day, or at any time before the pay period
ends without “signing” the time card. It is recommended that you do this so that submitting
accurate cards on time will be easier.
Instructions for how to actually submit the card to your supervisor and seek approval comes later
in this document, on page #12
Review the Confirmation of the pay period hours which appears after submitting
time. If the confirmation is correct, click OK. If it is not correct, use the back button to return to the
time card and make corrections.
Remember to Log out of WebAdvisor.
How to Submit the Card to Your Supervisor
NOTE: As mentioned on page 10, by clicking SUBMIT, you are not submitting the card to supervisor.
You will only be logging your hours to help keep track of accurate hours.
To submit a card to your supervisor, you must first sign the time card by clicking the tiny electronic
signature box and then click SUBMIT. You should do this only when you have filled out your time
card entirely. You will not be able to edit the card any more after you check this box.
Remember to Log out of WebAdvisor.

You will not have access to this time card again unless your supervisor rejects the time card.
If the time card is rejected, login to WebAdvisor again to re-enter your correct hours, sign the
time car and submit it again.
