Step By Step, How to convert files to MP3 (MAC)
How to encode an MP3 file using apples iTunes (You can download for free at www.apple.com/itunes/)
Step 1.
Set up iTunes to convert to the proper type of file that MusicFreedom.com uses Select iTunes “Preferences” Select “Importing” under “Import Using” select “MP3 Encoder” Select “Higher Quality(192 kbps)
Step 2.
Open iTunes and drag your audio file (wav, aiff, aac, etc.) into iTunes.
Step 3.
Select the file you just dragged into your library and select “Get Info”
Then select “Info” and fill out your song information. This is the information that people will see when playing your song in their MP3 player, it is also called the TAG INFO Then click “OK”
Step 4
Now your ready to convert! Just go and select “Convert to MP3” (this will take approx 30-60 seconds)
Once converted you will end up with 2 of the same songs in your library, one which is the original file and the other the newly converted MP3. You can tell which one is which by selecting “View Options”
Then select “Kind” This will show you what kind of file each is in your iTunes library (Aiff, Wav, MP3 etc) You might want to select “Bit Rate” as well incase you have to of the same songs with the same file type.
Step 5
Drag your newly converted MP3 to your desktop and upload to MusicFreedom.com!!
