STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE REGULAR VOTERS 1. 2. Name and Address. Line number from Roster is recorded to left of Voter’s name in Green Alpha Index. Public Alpha Index Updated. Clerk assigned to updating index draws line with red pencil through voter’s name in Gold Public Alpha Index to keep it updated as required by law. Voter Gets Ballot. 3rd Clerk gives voter ballot with marking pen and provides voter with instruction on how to record vote by connecting the head and tail of the arrow pointing to their choices. If the Voter Wants to Vote on the Touchscreen. Write your 4-digit voting precinct number on the Touchscreen User Ballot ID Card, hand the card to the voter, and direct the voter to the Voting Systems Specialist who will activate the correct ballot for that voter. ABSENTEE VOTERS WHO ARE JUST DROPPING OFF BALLOTS 1. Drop off Ballot With Clerk. You may have a separate line for voters to drop off voted Absentee Ballots with a Clerk. 2. Voter to Sign Blue Roster. Voter must print name, sign name, indicate who he/she is returning the ballot for, and relationship to that voter on the Blue Voted Absentee Ballot Roster. 3. Deposit Voted Absentee Ballot in the Auxiliary Bin. Confirm voter signed the envelope. 4. Done. Clerks do not need to find the voters’ name on any index.
