What is academic integrity?
Letter to Students – September 2006 “Academic integrity includes a commitment to the values of honesty, trustworthiness, fairness, and respect.” A violation of academic integrity is “any dishonest act which is committed in an academic context….” It includes “plagiarism (using someone else’s language, ideas information or original material without acknowledging the source),” copying from another student’s work, use of unauthorized aids in examinations, etc.

What happens if I do plagiarize?
You may be allowed to redo the paper. You could get a low grade or an F. You could be brought before the Academic Integrity panel in your school or college. You could be expelled.
