RECIPE TO END HUNGER
                            Saturday, February 6th
                              10:00am – 2:00pm
On Saturday, February 6th, the Youth, 6th -12th grade, will take part in a service project called
RECIPE TO END HUNGER!           We need your help with donating food and other needed items
that we may pick up from you on the day of the project. Please visit the church website to
register your willingness to donate food items; look for the Recipe to End Hunger icon on the
Hot Items section of the home page ( for more information! You may
contact the church office to register as well.
List   of requested food items:
       *canned meats (tuna, chicken, spam)               *Ravioli
       Pasta                                             *Canned Fruit and Vegetables
       Spaghetti Sauce                                   Applesauce
       Rice                                              Cereal
       Instant Potatoes (Hungry Jack or Idaho            Peanut Butter
        Potatoes)                                         Jelly
       Stuffing                                          Instant Coffee
       *Beef Stews                                       Tea
       *Chili                                            Cocoa
       *Corn Beef Hash                                   Cans of Evaporated mild, powdered
       *Soups (with vegetables and meat)                  milk

Personal care items:
    bar soap
    deodorant

Household items:
    *Laundry detergent
    toilet paper
    liquid dish soap.
                       *currently big needs at the food pantry.

Additionally, on Sunday, February 7, youth will be participating in the National Souper Bowl of
Caring by collecting money after each church service. Collected funds are donated directly to
local charities fighting hunger and poverty. Last year we collected $865 and 2,500 lbs of items,
all were donated to Turning Point UMC Food Pantry in Trenton. This year we hope to top our
giving from last year to give to Turning Point UMC Food Pantry.
