                                Post Master’s Certification Program
                                 Gerontological Nurse Practitioner
      The Post Master’s Certificate Nursing Program in Geriatrics is designed for registered nurses with a Master of Science
      degree in nursing who are interested in pursuing advanced practice nursing careers as Gerontological Nurse Practitioners.

      This curriculum takes effect for students beginning Spring 2010

      There are two options:

      Option I - For nurses holding master’s degrees in nursing but who are not certified advanced
      practice nurses.

      NOTE: Nine (9) credit hours in Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology, and Advanced Health Assessment are
      needed prior to admittance into UMDNJ. Total number of credits in the Post Master’s Certificate Program may increase to 31
      if courses are taken at UMDNJ.


      Option II - For Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) graduates of advanced practice programs.
