for next year, please hand these in ASAP. Students will begin entering their selections in computer class this
week. If you don't have your sheet handed in, you will not be able to enter your course selections.

John Reinke. To ensure that you get the classes you want for next year, please hand these in ASAP.

“Haiti on My Heart” - bracelets for sale in the office for $1.00. All proceeds will go directly to Haiti to help the
efforts to heal and rebuild after the devastating earthquake of January 12th. Any questions - please contact Ms.
Mauer in the office. Thank you!
Hunter’s Safety Course - The Johnsonville Rod and Gun Club will be offering a Hunter’s Safety Class at
Laacks Hall in Johnsonville. The class dates are Tuesdays, March 16th, 23rd, and 30th, April 6th and 13th. Anyone
interested should call Dan Fulcer at (920) 876-2962 or (920) 287-1078. Enrollment is for adults or kids 12 and
older (there are only 30 spaces available).
ACTION ROOM NEWS!!!
Battle of the Books - State team announced! Congratulations to the following fifth and sixth grade students
who qualified to participate in the State Battle of the Books competition. The team is Monica Micoliczyk, Morgan
Ottman, Elizabeth Holzer, Aaron Mullikin and Jill Madson. Continue to practice using the MOODLE site and
remember to study the name of the author of each novel. The competition date is Friday, February 26th.
Writers Workshop & Book Publishing Project - The ACTION Room is sponsoring a workshop for students
who are interested in the process of creating, writing, and illustrating a hardcover book. To learn more about the
project, come to an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 17th during Guided Study. If you attended
the info meeting on Friday, February 12th, you do not need to attend on Wednesday. We will begin at 2:40 -
please be prompt.
ROBOTICS CLUB members should meet in room 121 after dismissal today for our scheduled meeting.
Attention all Vocal Music students participating in Solo & Ensemble!!!! I will be in the Chorus Room on
THURSDAY morning (February, 18th). If you have not practiced with me you MUST SIGN UP for a lesson on
Thursday. There is a sign-up sheet on Mrs. Charbonneau's door with the times available...each lesson will be 10
minutes in length. Please come prepared with your music memorized and ready to go!!! Thank you! ~ Mrs.
Attention 7th and 8th grade students - the sign up sheet for track is now in the office. If you are interested in
being on the 2010 track team - sign up today!
The first wrestling meet is Tuesday, February 23rd against New Holstein. Students will need to be dismissed at
2:50 with a departure of 2:55.
Band News - Jazz Ensemble will meet on Thursday, February 18th. Please be ready to rehearse at 7:00 a.m.
The Low Brass/Rhythm Ensemble(Phantom of the Opera) will meet today during Lunch Recess. Students
should report to the band room immediately following 4th hour (10:44 a.m.). We will rehearse first and eat lunch
second. The Percussion Ensemble(Under the Big Top) will meet on Friday, February 19th during Guided
Study. Mr. Dochnahl will work with the Jazz Ensemble Saxophone Section Friday, February 19th from 2:15-
3:15 p.m. Students involved include: Amanda Kaat, Emma Schad, Mary Van Wyk, Quintin Najacht, and Bryce
Ertman. The Jazz Ensemble Rhythm Section will meet on Tuesday, February 23rd at 7:00 a.m. Please
prepare your individual parts for "Mambo Jambo" and "The Blues Walk".

Gemmell, 5th grade or to the office.
