        Position: Communications Specialist
        Position Type: Part Time (min. 16 hours a week)

        Reports to: Marketing Coordinator

Summary:
Skilled in Web and print design, the Communications Specialist will support the marketing team in
creating and maintaining collateral for various marketing initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for
a post-secondary student who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a corporate working
environment.

Responsibilities:
   Maintain and update the company website
   Design and create print material (including tradeshow banners, advertisements, and
     product literature) for tradeshows and other promotional purposes
   Capture product photography and edit captured images using Photoshop
   Create and update product literature including datasheets and quick reference guides
   Create corporate communications collateral (business cards and product information
     CDs) from existing templates
   Work with the Marketing Coordinator in the creation of presentations, collateral, and
     training material

Educational and Experience Requirements:
    Post-secondary/University education in progress, preferably in a Multimedia Design or
       Communications or related field
    Demonstrated experience in design for Web and print, supported by a portfolio of work
    Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects with attention to detail and focus on
       quality

Technical Skills:
    Expert user of Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator CS3
    Proficient with Dreamweaver, and Flash CS3
    Strong HTML and CSS skills, knowledge of Javascript an asset
    Exceptional design and layout skills
    Strong knowledge of printing processes
    Video editing skills an asset
