How to Register for Classes @ USF
OASIS is your online access to your personal student information. You can view your admission status, grades, tuition & fees payment, important dates and deadlines, access advising, parking, student organization, and financial aid information. OASIS is also where you register for courses and access the USF Schedule Search. OASIS is also the site where you can order official USF academic transcripts. You can also pay your tuition & fees via credit card on OASIS. How to Log On to OASIS: • Select the “OASIS” icon located in the lower left corner of www.usf.edu. • Select the “Student” site, followed by “OASIS Login” on the top left toolbar. Enter your U-number (a U followed by 8 numbers) and six-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). Press the “Login” button. How to Search for Classes: • Logon to the OASIS homepage • Select “Advising & Registration” • Select “Class Schedule Search” • Select a term. • Choose a campus location or distance learning option to begin your search. • To view the entire list of courses for a semester, select “Search” at the bottom of the page. If you are • looking for courses that satisfy a particular requirement, select from the list of undergraduate requirements on the pull-down menu. To narrow your search, select classes by subject from the drop down menu or by number. You can also search for classes by college or department. How to Register for Classes on OASIS: • Log on to OASIS • Select “Advising & Registration”. • Select “Register/Add/Drop My Classes”. • Select the term and click “Submit Term”. • Enter the five-digit course reference number (CRN) in the add /drop my classes portion of the page and click “Submit Changes”. CRNs beginning with a 1 (January) are Spring courses, CRNs beginning with 5 (May) are Summer courses, and CRNs beginning with 8 (August) are Fall courses. The CRN is located in the REF# column of your search results page. • After submitting changes, you may see a registration error (indicated by a red stop icon). This indicates you are not registered for the class. Read the status, make changes, and continue. o If the status is “class closed,” there are no spaces available in this class. You are not able to register for that class at this time. o You know you have been successful if the screen reads, “Web registered on [date].” How to Drop a Course: • Select on the pull-down menu next to the CRN, select “Drop”, and hit “Submit Changes”. How to Print a Copy of Your Class Schedule: • Go to “View Schedule” at the bottom of the screen and click “Print”. • Select “Exit” to log off. Personal Identification Number (PIN) If you forget your Personal Identification Number (PIN) when logging into OASIS, and enter the incorrect information more than the maximum times allowed, the PIN will be temporarily disabled. It will automatically be reactivated during the next business day. If logging on for the first time, your PIN is your date of birth in a sixdigit format (for example, if the birth date is May 6, 1987, the PIN will be 050687). Students who do not know their PIN, or wish to have it reset to their date of birth (mmddyy), can request that it be reset by faxing a signed letter listing their name, date of birth, and U# to (813) 974-5271 or by coming to the Registrar’s Office (SVC1034) with a photo ID. Unfortunately the PIN cannot be reset by a verbal request over the phone or through email.
