                      NOTICE OF DISCLOSURE STATEMENT HEARING

TO:      ALL HOLDERS OF CLAIMS, HOLDERS OF EQUITY INTERESTS AND
         PARTIES IN INTEREST IN THE ABOVE-CAPTIONED CHAPTER 11 CASES

        PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on January 20, 2010, Atrium Corporation and certain
of its affiliates, as debtors and debtors in possession (collectively, the “Debtors”), filed the (i)
Joint Plan of Reorganization of Atrium Corporation and its Debtor Affiliates Pursuant to
Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code (the “Plan”) and the (ii) the Disclosure Statement for the
Joint Plan of Reorganization of Atrium Corporation and its Debtor Affiliates Pursuant to
Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code (as the same may be supplemented or otherwise modified
before the hearing on this motion, the “Disclosure Statement”).2

        PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT a hearing (the “Disclosure Statement
Hearing”) will held before the Honorable [Judge], United States Bankruptcy Judge, on [Date],
2010 at [Time], in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, 824 Market
Street, Third Floor, Wilmington, DE 19801, (the “Court”) to consider the entry of an order
approving, among other things, (a) the Disclosure Statement as containing “adequate
information” pursuant to section 1125 of the Bankruptcy Code; (b) procedures for soliciting,
receiving and tabulating votes on the Plan and for filing objections to the Plan; and (c) [_______]
as the Voting Record Date for determining (i) the Holders of Claims entitled to receive the
solicitation materials and documents to be included in the solicitation packages; (ii) the Holders

can vote as the Holder of such Claim. Please be advised that the Disclosure Statement Hearing
may be continued from time to time by the Court or the Debtors without further notice other than
by such adjournment being announced in open court or by a notice of adjournment filed with the
Court and served on the list of all parties required to be notified under Rule 2002 of the
Bankruptcy Rules and Rule 2002-1 of the Local Rules, and other parties entitled to notice.
