How to Use Your Desktop Software
Sending Files to Your PC
Please ensure that you have downloaded your USB to Serial drive before beginning.
Ensure your BLACK DOWNLOAD cable is connected to your Palm and the serial end is connected to your BLUE USB to Serial Cable. Plug your USB to Serial cable into an empty USB port on your computer. Please note it’s important to use the same USB port each time you connect your SWI System to your PC. Open your Agent QC Desktop Suite software from the Icon on your desktop. If the icon isn’t on your desktop, click on your start menu and choose the Agent QC option from your Programs menu.
Sending Files to Your PC
To begin, please click on the receive samples icon at the top of the screen. You also have the option to click on File, then selecting Receive Samples. The Desktop software will prompt you to select your product type from the drop down list. Receive Samples Button
Select Product Type
Tap on the Communications Button on your SWI Palm Software. It will prompt you to send a single file, or to send ALL files to the PC. Select the option and tap done. The files will begin to send to the desktop software. You will see data appear in the white box beneath the product selection.

Viewing a File
All files will be displayed on the left hand side of the screen in the File Explorer. Double-click on the file you would like to display.

Navigating the Software
Sample Chart View will allow you to view the data the way it was displayed on the Palm Handheld screen. In a graph view. You can select or deselect the Axes boxes on the right hand side to view each separately or you can choose to combine all the information. By selecting the Notes option all the notes will appear on the screen where you have placed there or where you added Event Markers during monitoring.
Display Files in Sample Chart View
When you click on Display Files in the Sample Chart view it will display both files you currently have selected. You have the option to unselect a file if you just wish to see one displayed. You again have the option to select which information you would like to see by selecting or deselecting options on box on the right hand side of your screen.
Show Annotation
The Show Annotation function allows you to see the actual values of each point in the graph by placing the mouse over the data. You can turn this feature off by clicking Hide Annotation.

Data Notes
Selecting Data Notes allows you to make changes to any data notes you entered into the Sample Chart or any Event Flags you entered during monitoring. You can copy these files to a clipboard at any time and copy and paste it into your Word Processing applications.

Event Flag – displays any flags you entered during monitoring.
Show Threshold Function
Selecting the Show Threshold Function will display a black line across your file. You can simply drag this line to whatever threshold level you wish to set. This allows you to focus your attention only on data above this threshold as possibly damaging to your product.

Scales
Selecting the Scales function allows you to change the minimum and maximum values of the axes.
Adv. Navigation
The Adv. Navigation feature displays the time in larger increments, the arrows at the bottom of the screen allow you to advance the file forward. The Add Note feature allows you to add a note throughout the file to mark important events throughout the monitoring process. You can also right-click on the displayed file and add a note.
Viewing Sample Data
Sample Data view will show the data in a table format. Click on the file you would like to view from the list at the top of the Screen. Please note that you can only have two files open at a time. Click on the X next to the file name to close the file.
Displays all the impacts the palm recorded in data format.
Sample Properties
Sample Properties allows you to give general information on the file. It also provides you with information such as when the file was created and the duration of the time.
Allows you to enter information about the file or the test used to create the file.
Print Screen
This function allows you to print an entire report including Sample Chart, Sample Data and any notes that were added in the Sample Properties page at the click of the button.
