Together with the City of Kamloops and Innova Discs, The Kamloops Disc Golf Club is thrilled to host the
2010 Ultra Glide Disc Golf Championships! All the action will take place at Rose Hill Park and Copper Ridge Disc
Golf Park on June 5th and 6th.
More than one hundred disc golfers from British Columbia, Alberta, Washington and Oregon will converge on Rose Hill
East, Rose Hill West and Copper Ridge to compete for titles in Men’s, Women’s and Junior’s divisions.
The buzz about including the Copper Ridge course has players excited to see what the KDGC has done to expand to
surrounding communities! This will definitely draw a large following of dedicated disc golfers to the tournament!
This tournament is a celebration of the KDGC’s accomplishments in bringing competitive disc golf to the Thompson and
Highland Valley’s. In true KDGC fashion, players will meet to test their Frisbee mettle, make new connections and
renew old friendships.
On the Professional side, players vie for prestige and prize money, while Amateurs in Advanced, Intermediate or
Recreational divisions compete for prizes and bragging rights.
Starting Saturday morning, Pro Men and Women will begin the quest for their division title on the Copper Ridge Disc
Golf Course in Logan Lake. Saturday afternoon will see them test their endurance when they return to Kamloops to play
a gruelling eighteen holes on Rose Hill East! The Amateur players will face the challenging terrain of Rose Hill East in
the morning and finish up on Rose Hill West in the afternoon. Sunday will see the competition heat on a final round of
eighteen holes, with both Rose Hill courses being show cased.
The exciting Final 9 Mixed Doubles Skins Match for the top 4 men and top 4 women is our final event and is
scheduled to start at 3pm Sunday afternoon.

THE Disc golf is played much like traditional golf, but instead of a ball and clubs a
GAME: players use a flying disc or Frisbee®, aiming at a raised disc golf basket.
The sport was formalized in the 1970's, and shares with "ball golf" the object
of completing each hole in the fewest number of strokes or throws. The
trees, shrubs and terrain changes located in and around the fairways provide
unique and challenging obstacles for the golfer on every throw.
ABOUT Since its humble beginnings in March 2000, the KDGC has come a long
THE way. The club boasts an annual membership of over 50 players, and is the
largest and most active Disc Golf club in the province. The "little club" from
KDGC: the wilds of the BC Interior has played host to the BC Championships in
2001, 2002, 2006 & 2007. It has received sanctioning from the PDGA to host the
2003 Summer Solstice Tournament, the 2004 Canadian Nationals, the 2006
International Women’s Cup and most recently, the 2009 Ultra Glide!
Further, the KDGC is committed to the development of new players and the
