(BCTs), and other Army and Joint Force units based upon

                The Transportation - Opportunity

• The Supply Chain and Transportation provides an outstanding
  opportunity to improve responsiveness and reduce costs.

    • Common Staging Locations to support multiple systems when
      shipping OCONUS.
    • Packaging a complete pallet verses shipping numerous small
      shipments.
    • Centralized databases (UPAS/UPAS-Lite) for requisitions.

• The Army One System is the first challenge for collective support.


• Expectations:
    • Coordinated Technical Data for Fielding. One System
      Technical Manuals to multiple UAS systems. Parts Manual?
    • Repair support cross – trained to understand UAS systems
      utilizing One System.
    • Will aid in development of common support / supply chain.
    • Requisition data will be consolidated.
               Depot Teaming – Another Huge

• OEMs brief Depots on contract scope, metrics, and fee
  structure
• OEMs brief each other on Contract “Scope”
• PMO Briefing for CLS contractors on PBL risks/rewards
• Business Case analyses for depot involvement
  performed by each OEM.

                The End State !

• UAS Vendors teamed with other UAS Vendors/Organic Depots
  to conduct product support, in common functional areas, where
  teaming reduces cost and improves readiness.
• An Annual 15 – 25 % reduction in the Cost of Readiness until
  the Cost of Readiness equals approximately 5% of System
  Procurement Cost.
• All Vendors providing Product Support under a Performance
  Based Contract that rewards achievement of performance
  metrics versus the traditional, transaction based, product
  support method.
