ASPHALT
   Ensure area to be asphalted is fenced off to prevent other trades and the
    general public entering the area of work and are protected from injury.

   Ensure all vehicles delivering materials are directed to the location of the work in
    a safe manner.

   When vehicles are reversing they should have audible warning in operation. If
    vehicle has no audible warning, it must have its emergency flashing indicators in
    operation and the vehicle must be controlled by a competent banksman.

   Signs of the type of work must be prominently displayed.

   Direction signs must be in place from the site entrance to the place of work, prior
    to commencement.

   The area of work and the routes to the area of work to be checked for open
    manholes, gullies etc., prior to work commencing.

   All operatives to wear reflective vests.

   All operators to wear safety footwear.

   All operatives to wear safety helmets.

   Operatives to wear gloves where applicable.

   Operatives to have CITB certificates where applicable.

   All operatives to be safety trained.

   All operatives to have site induction.

NOTE: - Fire extinguisher required adjacent to asphalt pot.
