The first person >that was in line is now probably 10 people behind because he?s been >mulled over.? Now you know why there is so much spam on the net. Advertising makes some people go insane. Then there's the rest of us who know all their tricks. This year I did a test. I went to Walmart the day before Thanksgiving. I got their flyer for the black friday nonsense. I saved it. On Sunday (after the entire Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend), I went back to Walmart, and went early in the morning (3am) when the store was real dead. I took along that flyer. I looked around the store and several times asked a clerk if they still had any (*whatever*) left. Surprise! They still had 95% of the items, and they were all still the sale price. In fact, the only thing they did not have was a computer advertised on that flyer, and the cheap DVD's were picked over (as a clerk told me). Of course, how many of those insane black friday shoppers really wasted much time digging thru a mixed up pile of approx. $3.50 DVDs that normally sell for $5.99. Most are out for the big ticket things, which meant that the small items were sold later in the weekend. I should note that I looked for about half the items on that flyer. . • References: ♦ Black Friday Mob Scenes ◊ From: Scott en Aztlán • Prev by Date: Re: CompUSA • Next by Date: Please modernize Christmas songs • Previous by thread: Re: Black Friday Mob Scenes • Next by thread: Aeon Flux • Index(es): Re: Black Friday Mob Scenes 2 Re: Black Friday Mob Scenes ♦ Date ♦ Thread Re: Black Friday Mob Scenes 3
