Dear Fellow Club Members: Well, it’s November again, time to enjoy the Fall weather, to prepare for the Holiday Season, and time to enjoy what our Club offers in this time of Thanksgiving. Once again, we are reminded about the many things we are thankful for. One of those things is our Club, which enriches our lives in many ways. On Thanksgiving Day, bring your families and friends to the Club for the wonderful experience of Thanksgiving dinner, the seasonal feast which starts the Holiday Season. The delicious buffet will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., with the warmth and camaraderie making this truly a day to remember for every member of your family. Leading up to Thanksgiving, there will be a Margarita Night on Tuesday, November 4, where you can learn or practice your Cumbia, Merengue, and Salsa dance steps. There will be group dance lessons starting at 6:30. A buffet of delicious thematic food will be served, starting at 6:00. Then, on Friday, November 7, a Roaring 20’s Party will take us back to days gone by. Join your friends in a roaring good evening of music and dining in the best ballroom with the best view in town.You don’t have to know the Charleston to have a great time. But if you show up driving a Model T, we will know you are taking this event more seriously than the rest of us! On Friday, November 14, the Wine Committee of our Club will host A Taste of Italy. You will enjoy a delicious meal while tasting wines from all over Italy, from Piemonte and Veneto, through Tuscany, to the toe of the boot. Committee members will tell us about each one of them. Those of us old enough to remember pouring out the wine to use the bottle-basket for a candelabra know how much things have changed, and look forward to sampling some of the finest wines in the world. Do not miss this event. On Wednesday, November 19, the Zeger Classical Quartet will play while we dine.This will be another magical evening of chamber music, conversation, and wonderful cuisine. In addition to these events, don’t forget Oil Man’s Steak Night every Tuesday evening. Bring your business associates for the Club’s delicious a la carte dining, including prime steak specials. There is no finer place in town for business dining than your Club. And Steak Night will appeal to your family and friends, as well. See you at our Club!
