                                                     G.A.P. Kidz
                                                    Walk-a-Thon!

         Our goal is to raise funds for KidFest 2009. We hope that each family will participate in the sponsored walk-
         a-thon to the best of its ability. The cost to attend KidFest 2009 is $85 per person. We have raised some
         funds through bake sales, concession stand sales and the spaghetti dinner, but still have quite a way to go to
         fully fund the trip. We’re hoping to make this walk-a-thon an annual event. Thank you very much for your
         participation!


         Rules
             1. Children may start collecting pledges as soon as they receive the pledge sheets. Reminder: Pledge
                sheets need to be turned in on the day of the walk-a-thon, Saturday, April 4, 2009.

             2. Each sponsor making a pledge should write their own name, pledge per lap and
                maximum pledge. Students may collect the pledge in advance but must keep pledges until all are
                collected.

             3. On the day of the sponsored walk, the track will be available from noon – 4pm. Each participant will
                be issued a “lap tag,” which will be punched each time the student reaches the starting point,
                thereby keeping track of the number of laps completed.

             4. Upon completion of the walk-a-thon, the children will hand in their lap tags. A volunteer will record
                the lap totals on their pledge sheet and return it to the children. The children may then collect
                outstanding pledges. Please return pledge sheets with the money to New Hope Worship
                Center by Sunday, April 12, 2009.

             5. No running or jogging will be allowed. Participants are encouraged to wear hats and sunscreen if it’s
                sunny or bring waterproofs if it’s rainy.

         We look forward to everyone having a great time!
