                  INVITATION TOO
    Denmark 7’s International Rugby Tournament
   for Women, Men, and Old Boys, Friday the 26th.
        And Saturday the 27th. Off May 2006.
Again in 2006, Aalborg Rugby Club, Lynet will host the annual Denmark 7’s International,
and as usual the tournament will take place at Aalborg R.C. home ground at
Johannesmindevej 41.
The clubhouse will be open for arriving teams, from the morning of Thursday the 25th May,
until the last teams arrive late Thursday evening/night.

If maximum teams turn up, there will be 40 teams, so we would like you to bring a referee,
whom off course will be looked after in a good way.
The entrance fee will be 150€ per team, 75€ are paid back at your arrival!

APPLICATION AND PAYMENT:
Use attached application form, which, due to tournament planning, must be returned no later
than the 1st. of March 2006. 1st. of March is also latest date for payment. Please reply even if
you can’t come!!

ACCOMODATION:
For accommodation at the Sevens this year there are following possibilities: camping at the
stadium (bring a tent), youth hostel, sports centre or hotel.

Accommodation (App. prices):
Youth Hostel:     per person per night         incl. breakfasts                          €20, -

Free camping at the Rugby stadium, but requires a clean-up-after-you deposit               €50,    -

                 This year Denmark Sevens International...
THE TOURNAMENT:
Friday the 26th. Information at 09.00 a.m., 7’s kicks off at 10,00 a.m. Old boys will only play
on the Friday. Saturday the 27th. Final rounds kicks off at 10.00 a.m.
All Danish referees are approved by the DRU and matches will be played by international rules.
Representatives from The Danish Rugby Union normally make the presentation.
COMPETITION.
MEN: (max. 20 teams, min. 8 teams)
There will be played in 4 groups of 5 teams. Nr 1 + 2 in the group will go on to play in the
Cup-competition.
Nr. 3 + 4 will go on to play in the Plate-competition.
Nr. 5 will go on to play in the Bowl-competition.

WOMEN (max 12 teams, min. 4 teams)
There will be played in 4 groups of 3 teams. Nr 1 + 2 in the group will go on to play in the
Cup-competition.
Nr. 3 will go on to play in the Plate-competition.

OLD BOYS: (max 8 teams, min. 4 teams)
There will be played in 2 groups of 4 teams. Nr 1 + 2 in the group will go on to play in the
Cup-competition.
Nr. 3 + 4 will go on to play in the Plate-competition.
The Old Boys tournament will finish on the Friday.

TOUNAMENT RULES:
There will be played after IRB 7’s law.
Exceptions: In case of a draw in the final rounds, there will be played 5 min. “sudden death”
and only 6 players on each team. In the Old Boys tournament we will use “hockey changes”.

Tuesdays and Thursdays evening there will be someone in the clubhouse to answer your
calls.

Arrival: If you arrive Thursday the 25th of May, we kindly request that you tell us what time
you will arrive, otherwise please be at the clubhouse before 22.00 p.m. Arrival Friday the 26th
of May must be no later than 08,45 a.m.

On the Friday we make a cheap barbecue, Saturday night there will be a good, traditional rugby
party following, for all participants and guests. Food is included in the party price.
On the Sunday the club will be open and a lot of teams usually stops by to say hello and "we'll
meet again", before they leave Aalborg.
