From the President’s Desk…
    Welcome Spring! The school year is starting to wind down and
    summer is almost here. We had a great meeting this past
    Tuesday. We were able to bring in a representative from
    Tastefully Simple and host a fundraiser for the March of
    Dimes. The SFMOMC will be participating in the March for
    Babies walk on Saturday April 25th at 10am. If you would
    like to join our team please sign onto www.MarchforBabies.org
    and join team SFMOMC. The Spring rummage is fast
    approaching. The rummage will be April 17th and 18th. You
    will find the details in the newsletter. I look forward to great
    ending to the SFMOMC year, and the start of our new
    President Nancy Rather and Vice President Kelly Hoefert they
    will do a terrific job leading our club the next 2 years. Nancy
    has been a huge asset as vice president this year and I want to
    take this opportunity to say THANK YOU!!! Hope to see you all
    at the rummage or March for Babies Walk.

From the Vice President’s Desk…
    April VP Letter

    Hello everyone! April is finally here but where is our nice
    spring weather? I hope we see it soon because my kids are
    getting a little stir crazy!! (Quite frankly, so am I!) We will be
    holding our annual rummage sale on April 17th and 18th. If
    you would like to sell at the rummage please email Amanda or
    myself to let us know. Also, members get to shop early so plan
    to join us Friday night to get the best deals! We will be open to
    the public so tell your friends and family members about it
    too. We will send out a list of “do’s and don’ts” regarding
    selling so that you will have some time to prepare your items.
    I hope you had a chance to come out to the Wellness Fair at
    the Empire Mall last weekend. It was good to see some past
    members and hopefully we will add some new members. We
    partnered with the March of Dimes and offered a lot of helpful
    information for expectant and new moms. Please consider
    joining our SFMOMC family team for the March of Dimes Walk
    for Babies which will be held April 25th at the Sioux Falls
    Canaries Stadium. The March of Dimes helps many families
    with prenatal and postnatal care, especially those families with
    premature babies. This includes many of our own club
    members and others who have multiples. It would be a great
    opportunity to give back to an organization that offers so
    much help to our community.

    Watch for emails regarding our New Member Brunch as well
    as our New Board Member Induction Celebration. We will be
    sending info soon on those events. Keep looking for signs of
    spring!

                             Meeting Minutes
April 7th 2009
General Meeting
Peace Lutheran Church 7 PM.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Cindy Waldner, co-secretary.

After introductions an attendance sheet was passed around. A sheet of tips for
those planning on selling at the Spring Rummage to be held this year on April
17-18 was also passed out. Times for set-up and member shop are posted in
the March newsletter.

Nominations were also made for club officers for 2009. They are as follows:
    Vice President: Kelly Hoefert
    Secretary:       Wanda Penning
    Treasurer:       Vicki Huitt

If anyone else is interested in running for office, please let Amanda know.

The rest of the meeting was spend enjoying snacks from Tastefully Simple.
Lori Olson did an excellent job telling us all about the products the company
has to offer. The samples we passed around sure were yummy!

April Board Meeting will be April 14th at The Attic on 49th and Sycamore.
Everyone is invited to attend.
