    LOCAL JAIL CHAPLAIN HOSTS FUNDRAISER FOR
           INMATE, EMPLOYEE PROGRAM
                    Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore to speak

Mesa County, Colorado: The Good News Jail & Prison Ministry will host the 1st
annual “New Beginnings” Banquet on October 19th, 2007 at the Double Tree
Hotel to raise funds in an effort to support the Mesa County Jail Chaplain
Program. Tickets for the event can be purchases by calling 970-778-5189. The
cost is 25 dollars per person or 250 dollars for a table of 10. A silent auction to
include at Harley Davidson motorcycle donated by Grand Junction Harley
Davidson will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will start at 6:30 p.m.

Guest speaker for the “New Beginnings” Banquet will be Former Chief Justice,
Roy S. Moore, and Chairman of the Foundation for Moral Law in Montgomery
Alabama. The Honorable Judge Moore also lectures on America’s history and
the right to acknowledge God. – www.morallaw.org

Chaplain David Frost began working as the Jail Chaplain for the L.R. “Dick”
Williams Detention Center in September, 2006 and has committed himself to
“Breaking the chains of sin that keep inmates incarcerated and returning to jail
over and over.” Chaplain Frost brings 12 years of law enforcement experience
with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department in Central California as a
Sheriff’s Deputy. Chaplain Frost left the law enforcement arena to minister to the
needs of inmates, continuing his commitment to the community.

The Good News Jail & Prison Ministry program is self funded and receives no
taxpayer support. The purpose of this program is to “meet the spiritual needs of
both inmates and staff through ministry that includes evangelism, discipleship,
and pastoral attention, while facilitating other religious faiths within the guidelines
established by law and the individual correctional facility.” – goodnewsjail.org.

Ministry responsibilities include:

•   Oversight and direction of religious programs
•   Scheduling and conducting weekly services and Bible studies
•   Recruiting and facilitating volunteers
•   Death and emergency notifications

   All proceeds will go to help keep Good News Jail & Prison Ministry Chaplain David
Frost in the Mesa County Jail working to help reduce recidivism. Chaplain Frost does this
 by bringing inmates to Christ and breaking the chains of sin that keep them incarcerated
                              or returning to jail over and over.
Chaplain Frost is a former Deputy Sheriff who turned his life over to God. Chaplain Frost
began working as the Mesa County Jail Chaplain in September 2006. All funding for the
  jail chaplain is by donations and special events. No tax dollars are used to fund the jail
                                          chaplain.
